Outdoor Pool & Gardens
In Summer, the pool area offers hours of enjoyment with it's scenic mountain views, extensive Perennial gardens and crystal clear mountain stream water. The generous lawn space that surrounds the pool provides an excellent atmosphere for relaxing in the sun and socializing with friends and family.
Stowe Recreation Path
This award-winning 8.5 km scenic Recreation Path is a paved trail that starts at the inn, winds its way past horse pastures, through meadows and forest, and by swimming holes, repeatedly crossing the West Branch River via 10 arched bridges. The path which is ideal for walking, jogging and biking, eventually leads to Main Street in the Village of Stowe, and is accessible to numerous shops, and restaurants along the way. The inn does provide some complimentary bicycles for guests use and bikes can also be rented at the Nordic Barn Bike Rental Center located nextdoor.
Streamside Park
A peaceful, picturesque retreat located on the banks of the West Branch, a beautiful mountain stream that wanders from the base of Mt. Mansfield, past the inn, and continues on to the Village of Stowe. The park features a landscaped lawn, majestic maple trees, comfortable Adirondack chairs, and a real covered bridge.
Paddle Tennis Court
In Summer, this lighted, natural clay tennis court (2/3 size of standard tennis court) allows novice players both young and older, immediate success, while offering the potential for an exhilarating, high paced game for more advanced players, using design specific de-pressurized tennis balls.
Skating Rink
In Winter this lighted natural ice rink (80’x 40’) is great fun for couples and families. The rink is open for public skating and pond hockey, everyday from mid December to mid March, weather permitting. If the weather isn’t cooperating, guests can enjoy the Jackson Ice Arena located in historic Stowe village.
Kids Activities & Amenities
A Playground with it’s own Austrian tree house, Soccer nets, badminton, horseshoes, plus the paddle tennis court and basketball court. There’s a great natural swimming hole in the West Branch stream, just a short walk from the inn. There’s the 8.5 km Stowe Recreation Path for biking, running, and rollerblading. In Winter, The Lighted Skating Rink, and mini sliding hill for toddlers, and in the main inn, The Gameroom includes a Ping Pong Table and Foosball game.
Cross Country Skiing
Guests have a choice of skiing from the inn to the Village of Stowe on the groomed 8.5 km Stowe Recreation Path, or follow the access trail to the covered bridge, linking up to the network of 250km of trails that lead to the Touring Centers of Topnotch Resort, Trapp Family Lodge, Stowe Mountain Resort and Edson Hill Manor; Accessing a total of 150km groomed, and 100km of back-country ski trails. The Nordic Barn Rental Center is conveniently located next door.

This award winning spa features an indoor pool with 12 foot whirlpool and cascading waterfall, two outdoor pools, Fitness Center with weight training studio, sauna, steam room, Spacious private men’s and women’s spa lounges with fireplace, and 30 treatment rooms, including a couples suite with fireplace for side-by-side massages. The spa offers 120 spa treatments, and a full service Salon. Reservations may be made through our front desk.
Nordic Barn Riding Stables - Nextdoor
802-253-6433. Michael Martel and his staff provide a special way for our guests to see the rugged beauty of Vermont's lush woodlands. The one hour guided Trail rides offer a scenic trip through meadows, forest trails and through one of Stowe’s historic covered bridges. Truly a wonderful and unique experience for the whole family. Trail rides are open to novice as well as experienced riders; Rides are offered everyday at 11:00 AM, 1:00 and 3:00 PM by appointment. The cost is $45 per person. Unfortunately, credit cards are not accepted at the stables. Children ages 6 and up, are welcomed.
Gentle Giants Carriage & Sleigh Rides-Nextdoor

Mansfield, led by her beautiful Percheron and Belgian draft horses. Take a romantic ride in Victorian surrey for two, a classic spindle wheeled carriage for four, or in one of the candy apple red wagons for six to twelve people.
Topnotch Indoor Tennis Center-Nextdoor

With four indoor hard courts, Six outdoor courts (four Har Tru), and professional instruction under the leadership of Milan Kubala, the Topnotch Tennis Center is an ideal place to take your game to the next level. Choose from individual and group clinics to the three and five hour “Tennis Academy” workshops. Courts are available for rental by the hour, or join one of the weekly round robins…a great way to meet other players.
The Swimming Hole-Stowe’s Community Indoor Pool & Fitness Center
This modern non-profit facility is open to the public and includes an 8 lane, 25 meter lap pool with diving board, and heated children’s pool with waterslide. The Center also includes weight training, cardio, Spinning, and Kranking facilities and professional instruction. Also offered are Bosu, Pilates, & Yoga classes.
